RinkBook: ice scheduling for working rinks.

RinkBook is a SaaS product I own, design, develop, and operate. It gives rink operators a way to manage ice time, publish schedules, and prepare billing reports.

One schedule, several audiences

A rink’s schedule serves more than the person managing it. Teams need to see their ice times. Coaches need to find available slots. The operator needs to know how scheduled time adds up for billing.

RinkBook supports those different views of the same schedule.

What I built

Operators can plan and adjust ice times by date or team. Each rink has a public schedule, and people can subscribe to relevant schedules in their calendar app.

Reports show scheduled hours by team or date to support billing. The product connects schedule administration with the information teams need to see.

Built for use beyond the rink office

Publishing a schedule is part of managing it, not an unrelated website task. RinkBook gives each rink a public view of its schedule while keeping editing in the operator’s application.

Calendar subscriptions let people follow their schedule in the tools they already use.

My role

I’m responsible for the product’s design, UI/UX, Ruby on Rails development, deployment, and hosting. RinkBook runs on DigitalOcean, deployed with Kamal.
